Elaine B. Re: Harvests and Redemption 14 July 2019

Elaine:  I would not be the first to say that your Pentecostal analysis is intriguing, but I believe it is incorrect.   Counting seven Sabbaths and then adding 50 days contradicts Jesus' counting of Pentecost.  We need to follow His counting or numbering  to the fullness of Pentecost.   It is simple.

Jesus walked about Judea for 40 days following His First Fruits Resurrection.  This followed the Sign of Jonah: 3 days dead/buried followed by His First Fruits resurrection and then 40 days preaching.  Jesus said that 10 days after His 40th day Ascension, the Holy Spirit would come.  From Acts 2:1 we know that the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost, 10 days later.   It was not 49 days followed by 50 days.

Now, Jesus did say "There are still four months until the harvest."(John 4:34)  He was quoting a Jewish idiom:  "Do you not say".   I have never studied this phrase, but whichever harvest Jesus was referring to, I know one thing for sure.   The Pentecostal Resurrection/Rapture will be on a future Pentecost at whatever time, God deems is to fulfill the Leviticus 23:16 typology.

This truth means that we have to wait for the next Pentecost 2020 for the blessed hope.  So we are commanded to preach Christ crucified because the Church has not come to its fullness. (Romans 11:25)

By the way, in your analysis of a Pentecostal Resurrection/Rapture you did not connect the antitypes of the two loaves.  They represent two groups, (1) the resurrection of the dead in Christ, and (2) the catching out of the living in Christ.  (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:17)  This represents the second order of the first resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:23)

P.S.  In Regard to your Two Raptures  I believe:

In 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, Paul speaks about three (3) orders of the resurrection.

1. Christ at First Fruits Festival during Feast of Unleavened Bread,

2. Afterward they that are Christ's at His coming ; (See verses 51- 52) Pentecost is not obvious in this verse so we search the Scriptures.

3. Then comes the end. (See Revelation 20:4-5) Tabernacles is not obvious in this verse, so we search and study. We follow Proverbs 25:2.
Now, God's redemptive plans are laid out in Leviticus 23 (Seven Festivals of the Lord):

As you study Paul's orders, it will become apparent that they following the pilgrimage feasts. There are three (3) pilgrimage feast in the seven (7) festivals of Leviticus 23. They are Unleavened Bread (which includes First Fruits), Pentecost, and Tabernacles. (See Exodus 23:14-17 which come out of Leviticus 23. There is symbolism associated with these festivals which speaks to types. By types I mean things such as Jesus was the slain lamb of Passover, etc.

First Fruits symbolism: wave grain sheaf offering. Jesus was resurrected on First Fruits. He was the first fruits of the harvest. Did He not say that the grain head had to die to produce much fruit. First clue is clear. (See Leviticus 23:15; John 12:24; 1 Cor 15:20-22)

Pentecost symbolism: the two loaf wave offering. This has not been fulfilled in typology yet. Each loaf represents a group of "Christ's own" (2nd Order, 1 Cor 15:23). One loaf represents the dead in Christ (the resurrection of righteousness and the other loaf the "catching out" of the living in Christ. (See Leviticus 23:17; 1 Cor. 15:52 and 1 Thess 4:17) Keep in mind that Paul said our completed nature in Christ has two steps: (a) the deposit of the Holy Spirit followed by (b) the redemption of the body. The 30 A.D. Pentecost began the deposits and the 20XX resurrection/rapture will complete the redemption of the bodies and fulfill the two loaf wave offering typology. The festival of Trumpet is NOT a pilgrimage feast (chag) It is a festival (moed).

Tabernacles symbolism: offering of fire. This is follows the second coming and there has been fire as in Isaiah's furnace of affliction during the sevens years (Daniel 9:27). (See Isaiah 48.10) We see that there is a resurrection of saints (into the Millennial kingdom) (the 3rd order of 1 Cor. 15:24) who lost their head during the Tribulation for the testimony of Jesus. (Leviticus 23:34-36; Revelation 20:4-5)

I would recommend two books by Jack Langford. He has done a good job with this analysis. The Pentecostal Rapture of the Church and the Threefold Orders of the Resurrection of Righteousness. Both on Amazon and good values.
