One of the differences between the 2 minor fast days of Month 4 Day 17 and Month 5 Day 9 is about the status of the two Jerusalem Temples long ago. On the earlier day is the remembrance in sorrow of the breaching of the walls of the two Jerusalem Temples of old, Solomon's Temple then Herod's Temple. Then, after 21 days annually of mourning and solemn reflection, is the remembrance day in sorrow for The Destruction, The Disappearance, of the two great Temples at Jerusalem. Of the four fast days mentioned by the prophet Zechariah, the one most associated with mourning and sorrow is Av 9. In ancient times, Yom Kippur, one of the four, was a most joyous day annually along with Av 15. Zechariah mentions that these four days will become days of joy and rejoicing. Not yet. Which one will be the first? Will it be Av 9, with the event of The Blessed Hope? This would be the second fast day annually, on the Hillel or Torah Calendars, after Month 4 Day 17.
The eternal bride of the Messiah of Israel is the current spiritual Temple. Unlike the earlier two Temples, this Temple is not made by human hands. Rather, it is THE TEMPLE OF LIVING LIVELY STONES according to Paul. Please ponder this. Of the three, is not THE LIVING TEMPLE the most important and profound? Two have come and gone. They are no more. Disappeared. ONLY ONE TEMPLE WILL ETERNALLY LIVE AND FOREVER ABIDE! Paul's analogy is lovely and true. Will the current augmented Temple, with the living lively stones increased within "the bringing in of the fullness of the Gentiles" for 20 centuries, be COMPLETE soon? Might there be another Temple Disappearance Day between Av 9 and Av 15 in 2018? Torah Calendar dates will be 7-22 to 23 and 7-28 to 29. Between them are Days of Noah of 7 days. May The Blessed Hope be soon.
With Love and Shalom,
Jean
