Daniel Chapter 9 – condensed version
The angel Gabriel appeared in a vision to the prophet Daniel and revealed that :
1. In 49 more years, the wall surrounding Jerusalem would be rebuilt.
2. And that in 483 years from this vision Messiah-Jesus would be crucified.
These two events have come and gone. Yet the angel Gabriel said that there would still be another 7 years designated for Israel. At the end of those 7 years the “most Holy” ( Jesus ) would be anointed King. Unfortunately, Gabriel left out the details … like when this 7 year time period would be. He did give us a clue though. He said that it would begin to happen when “he” (meaning the anti-Messiah, anti-Christ ) would confirm a covenant for 7 years.
Now, the first 483 years are divided by 2 different events. And then there is an unknown GAP of time until the 7 years come to history. So too, the 7 last years are divided into two events segmented by an unknown GAP of time. We see a familiar pattern forming.
These last 7 years are not consecutive, but have an unknown GAP of years between the first 3 and 1/2 years and the final 3 and 1/2 years that would bring in our King Jesus. These 2 different events both have their own names. The first 3 and 1/2 years are called “the time of Jacob’s [ Israel’s ] Trouble” .
The second 3 and 1/2 years are called “the GREAT Tribulation”. Jesus Himself gave it that name in Matthew 24:21.
The Time of Jacob’s Trouble – Jeremiah 30:7
March 26, 1979 to September 26, 1982
Israel was given a command by God to never make treaties with foreign nations (Exodus 23:32). She violated that command on March 26, 1979 when she signed the Camp David Peace Accords. She then became ensnared by a foreign power that would be militarily aligned with Israel’s military. If any nation became involved in a war with Israel, then American Forces would back Israel in that war. We would guarantee their peace.

For the next 3 and 1/2 years following the C.D.P.A., America made all the necessary military preparations to back up Israel in a war. That moment in time actually came about on September 26, 1982, when we relieved Israeli Forces in the First Lebanon War. That September date was exactly 42 months to the day from the Accords. Israel now became beholden to a foreign power---instead of to God alone---for her protection. She violated the command given to her in Exodus 23:32 that said that Israel was never to get under the umbrella of another nation. She was only to trust in God alone for all of her protections.
So the first 3 and 1/2 years have already been consummated. Israel had taken the bait, and we stepped in. There now remains only 3 and 1/2 years left of the timeline given by the angel Gabriel to Daniel.
“The GREAT Tribulation” --- Matthew 24:21
We are soon to come to the GREAT Tribulation period of 3 and 1/2 years. It was called “GREAT” by our Lord to differentiate these last 3 and 1/2 years from all of history. They are unprecedented:
”For then shall be GREAT tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:21.
As this author sees it, we can safely presume then that since the first 3 and 1/2 years began with a peace treaty, then the final 3 and 1/2 years will begin with a confirming of that covenant, as told to us in Daniel 9:27: “And he shall confirm the covenant with many”.
The Jewish REMNANT
Worshipping God in Spirit and in truth (sincerity ) John 4:24
The God-fearing, God-loving Jewish people will be hid away during these last 3 and 1/2 years. They will be protected and provided for miraculously by God Himself.
Isaiah 26:20 and Revelation 12: 14--17. This beloved Remnant will “have the testimony of Jesus Christ” Rev. 12:17.
“And so all Israel shall be saved” –Romans 11:26.
For both the Remnant and the Bride, there is mercy .“In wrath, remember Mercy”—Habakkuk 3:2.
The Bride-Church
The Bride of Christ --- Spirit-filled and lamps filled with oil, (Matthew 25:1-- 12) will be taken to heaven by their Bridegroom-Jesus at this time (Joel 2:16).

2017President Trump is determined to get that final permanent peace treaty confirmed ASAP ( as soon as possible).
It is this author’s belief that President Trump is neither the AC (antichrist ) nor the FP (false prophet ) of Revelation 13. But he is a facilitator.
We are commanded in Mark 13:37 to watch for these end-time signs… to know---and more importantly to Realize---the lateness of the hour.
