"The Man Child of Rev. 12"

Well, I don’t believe it’s Jesus because this SIGN in the heavens is forming now and the woman (Israel) gives birth at Feast of Trumpets. Many, including Scottie Clark, believe it is the CHURCH being birthed into heaven since she was CONCEIVED at Pentecost. Not birthed at Pentecost, he says, but conceived at Pentecost. This could be true. Jesus is our HEAD and he was taken up with the apostles watching him ascend. The SAME word that Paul uses for the rapture (harpazo) is used to describe this man child being caught up to heaven and God’s throne. If Jesus is our Head (and he is) and we are his body, he’s already up there, but we are not. It’s possible that Scottie is right and his body is being birthed in Rev. 12 (the church). We are, after all, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. Our Head is already up there and we are to join him soon as His body! My conundrum with this is the following:

  1. No where in scripture is the bride EVER referred to as a man child
  2. What about the millions of saints already in haven who were asleep in Jesus? Are they included as part of this man-child? They would be if it’s actually the rapture, because the dead in Christ rise FIRST, then we join them in the air to meet Jesus.
  3. This is mostly a Gentile Bride, though it will be composed of many Messianic believers, and don’t forget the church started with Jewish believers who turned to the gentiles to teach them (Paul, apostle to the gentiles), and it will end with Jewish believers  teaching believers (new saints in the tribulation will be hearing the gospel of the Kingdom from the 2 witnesses and from the 144,000 Jews).
  4. According to the Bible we shall see Jesus as he is, because we will be LIKE him. Does this mean that ALL church age believers will be male in heaven (no females?). If the Bride is all men – why would she be called a Bride? Confusing…but she is called a Bride and a Queen (Ps 45) and if we are not all male, then there will be females AND males making up the Bride of Christ. Just realize that this wedding is not like a wedding on earth. It will happen physically between Jesus and the Church, but it is a spiritual event. There is no sex in heaven, but there will be a marriage feast! Christians have mused down through the ages on how Jesus’s Bride will include women AND men and it’s been a mystery to us; however, remember that God told Israel in the Old Testament that He was MARRIED to them and Israel was certainly not all female!
  5. If the man-child IS the Church, this man-child is caught up to God’s throne, but not right away. I read that the actual man-child isn’t caught up to God’s Throne until November or Dec, according to the constellations. Scottie hasn’t explained that one yet.
  6. Either way, time is short and it appears the rapture is near whether the church is the man-child or not!
