"Re: "IN THE MIDST OF""

Hi Miriam,

Reference your letter on Five Doves today titled: "IN THE MIDST OF".

Daniel 9:24 (KJV) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people (Jews) and upon thy holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Miriam, you said: “*Jesus fulfilled His Father’s six requirements* which were: “to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.”   He accomplished this task with His earthly ministry to the Jews of that day which culminated in His death, burial and resurrection, as the once-and-for all sacrifice for sin, known as “the FINISHED work of Christ” on the Cross.”

So my question is:  Since Jesus fulfilled all six thing listed in Daniel 9:24, doesn’t that mean the entire 70 weeks are completely fulfilled?  If there were more requirements to be fulfilled after Jesus was crucified, wouldn’t these requirement be listed the 70 weeks prophecy?

YFIC,

Hi Garry, thank you for your question.  The WHOLE prophecy of the 70 weeks is revealed in the text of chapter 9 of Daniel, starting with verse 24 and ending after Jesus is "cut off" in the first half of verse 26, and the rest of verse 26 thru verse 27 describing "the prince who is to come" who will bring in a 7 year covenant (of Isaiah 28), break it in the middle and tread down the city of Jerusalem for the last 42 months of the final 70th Week.

The "prince who  is to come" refers to two personages inside one mortal body.  The first is the Antichrist who will be a Muslim political leader (who comes out of the Mediterranean Sea , in Rev 13) who lives in close proximity to the land of Israel.  Daniel 11, from verse 21 thru to the end of the chapter is a fuller description of these "two" persons. This first man does NOT require worship from the people neither does he invent the Mark. He comes into Israel "peaceably with flatteries"  promising "peace and safety", see Dan 11:21, and continues for the first 3.5 years with war involving the king of the south (Egypt and surrounding areas).  In the middle of the Tribulation, this man is described as "having 7 heads" one of which is wounded which "dies"  obviously (Rev 13: 1,3) goes into Hell for a short time which has turned him into the second personage, the Beast, but still in the same body as the first Antichrist. He is filled with the power of the Dragon in the form of the ancient spirit who John says "has been, is not but will be" in Revelation 17, which I believe will be king Nimrod of Genesis 10, who was BOTH builder and King of Assyria and Babylon (See Is 14). He will be partnered with the FALSE PROPHET who "comes out of the LAND"- the Land of Israel- in Rev 13, who will be a Jew and I believe a wicked rabbi out of the Sanhedrin.

It is the BEAST, not the first antichrist, who treads down and city of Jerusalem and HATES the remaining wicked Jews along with Almighty God, for the LAST 42 months of the total 84 months of the 7 year Tribulation.

Daniel's 70th JEWISH WEEK  under the dispensation of LAW, is interrupted in its MIDDLE, to make room for the 1,988 GENTILE dispensation of GRACE, which must close and THEN the LAST half of the 70th Week will be fulfilled back under LAW again, just as it began.

I personally believe the Antichrist/Beast will be the king of Jordan, whom Judah will welcome into their country at such a precarious time inside the Tribulation, 3 1/2 years BEFORE he will turn upon them with grievous hatred as the BEAST in the last half of the WEEK in order to complete "the times of the Gentiles."

As the Lord to help you see this with clear understanding.  He will do that for you.  It is time for the "closed document" to be opened so that the "wise can understand."

In Christ

PS
Gary, the key to proper exegesis of Holy Scripture is to recognize and pay close attention to the chronological unfolding of the text in question.  How can the entire 70 weeks be completely fulfilled if Jesus was "cut off" in the first half of the WEEK after Jesus spiritually fulfilled the Father's requirements with His finished work of redemption?  There are NO MORE requirements for the "covering of mankinds' sin" with Jesus blood, but God's plan was not physically finished, as the dispensation of GRACE had to be revealed and come in for the GENTILES with Paul's gospel as well as that of the other 11 Apostles.  The covering FOR man's sin was finished at the Cross, but sin will NOT be physically finished until the END of the 1,000 year Millennial period after Satan is released for "a little season" out of the abyss when he again will delude the Gentile nations to attempt one more time to come down and destroy Israel, called the "Gog and Magog" war as Ezk 38/39 and Rev 20 clearly says.  Sin continues right into the Millennial Kingdom for the Gentiles,  God NEVER has to deal with the sin of the whole house of Israel ever again after the end of the Tribulation!

The first half of the 70th WEEK brings in the Jewish remnant after the Body of Christ is resurrected and raptured to Heaven, and the Antichrist brings in the 7 year "covenant with death and Sheol" (Is 28) which the Beast will break in the MIDDLE of the 7 year Tribulation, in order to finish "the times of the Gentiles in the last 3.5 years of the Tribulation.
