"Donna Cothran"
Donna,
You siad in your post...
Jesus does not make any appearances in Scripture during the
Tribulation until the marriage of the Lamb in chapter 19 which
eliminates the idea of the Rapture event taking place anytime
other than prior to the Tribulation.
What can you say then of this passage:
Rev. 16:15 The Pouring of the Sixth Vial Judgement at the very
end of the Great Tribulation and before Armageddon
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and
keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his
shame.
This is how I understood the above:
Look! Here I am! I come to snatch and steal away! Blessed are
those who watched and keep their lamps with oil and burning and
clothed with wedding robes for they will be invited and will
take part in the Great Wedding Banquet.
A Thief in Prophecy Society’s understanding is popularly
promoted as someone who comes at a time we don’t know. We
neglect the most popular secular understanding of a Thief and
that is someone who snatch and steal away.
What is the relevance of this proclamation (1 This. 4:16) of
Jesus right in the middle of gathering the kings and the armies
for the battle of Armageddon and prior to the Punishment of the
Great Prostitute which is the exact opposite of the Bride?
Was it for those who have the mark of the beast? Or to the
remnant of Israel and Gentiles that were protected and who
became followers of Jesus during the Great Tribulation? But if
the remnants will be the ones to repopulate the earth in the
millennium and will not be taken away to be the Bride, then what
is the use of this proclamation for?
Scriptures says that their will be only one resurrection of the
dead in Christ. The rapture and the resurrection goes together
and will happen simultaneously and only once.
