Meaning of Great Sign in Heaven Rev. 12
The virgin with garland of 12 stars is Israel.
The man-child is Jesus.
The great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns,
and seven crowns upon his heads is the Roman Empire that had
control over Israel and it’s surrounding nations when Jesus
walked the Earth; now in the form of the Roman Catholic Church
with has a concordat ( an agreement or treaty, especially one
between the Vatican and a secular government relating to matters
of mutual interest) with the same nations (same area of said
nations under new names). This great red dragon (beast) is
ridden by:
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and
scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and
pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written,
MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the
saints (millions of reformation saints), and with the blood of
the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great
admiration.
Rev 17:7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou
marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the
beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten
horns.
Paul calls Rome by the name of Babylon.
1 Peter 5:13 The church that is at Babylon, elected
together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
Rev 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven
heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. (Rome
sits on 7 hills/mountains)
The man-child that is caught up to heaven upon birth is
Jesus coming for His bride. His feet do not touch the Earth. He
catches up His bride and returns to heaven. In a blink of an
eye, we are caught up with Jesus unto heaven. Upon His birth her
child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. In a blink of
an eye!
Rev 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to
rule all nations with a rod of iron
denotes the beginning of the tribulation with Jesus dealing with
the Earth directly ordering His angels to bring forth the 7
seals, 7 trumpets, 7 thunders and woes; bringing forth
judgment upon the nations/peoples who rejected Him. The
population of the Earth is about 7.6 billion, of these 1/4 are
killed....and 1/3rd are killed and at Armageddon the blood flows
to the depth of the bridle of a horse. Approx. 75% are
killed +/-.
Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she
hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a
thousand two hundred and threescore days. The woman (the
virgin Israel) is taken care of (by God) during the
tribulation (protected and taken care of) for 3 1/2 years.
