I think there's a link between Rome and Islam.

I only recently became aware of an interesting program on Prophecy Watchers hosted by Gary Stearman with guest Ken Johnson.  It goes into the book of Gad.

Gad is mentioned in in the Bible as a prophet (probably around 1000 B.C.).  Apparently  the book of Gad prophetically mentioned the link between Rome and Islam.  It also mentions a pretribulation rapture.
