"Bruce Barber - two comings - the Ten Virgins"

Bruce, here is my take on your email.  My opinion only!

In the Parable of the Ten Virgins, all had oil in their lamps.
The long delay cause the ‘unwise’ to run out of oil.  They had no extra oil with them.
This group represents the Bride of Christ and her court [possibly others as well].
Although saved, not all ten ‘virgins’ were a part of ‘The Bride of Christ’.  Some were left behind.
This explains the two comings.
Christ comes first for His Bride.
Christ comes later for His Church.
In other words, two raptures!
One at the beginning of the tribulation period and the other at the end.
This cannot be referring to the Jews.  Christ is coming for a Bride.  He is the Bridegroom.
The Jews are already married....to God.
This is how some can justify a pre-trib rapture and a later rapture.
Those taken first are those who return with Him to set up His kingdom at the second coming.
The passage in Luke represents coming for the Church...not the Bride.
This passage also seems to demonstrate that those who will reign with Christ are a select group, not the whole Church.

Just some thoughts for your review.  Tyler Cole
