A GLASS OF WATER

Do you recall when JESUS said (para.) that giving even a glass of water to one of HIS
would be remembered?  Brings to mind the example of the rich man making a big
show of his giving an impressive amount of money in offering, compared to the few
cents given by the poor widow. Was it the percentage of their wealth that was the
point ?  Was it the "showing" of the rich man or the regret of the widow that she had
so little to give that she attempted to do so un-noticed ?  What was the Real Point
that JESUS meant by HIS pointing this out to those around HIM ?  Does HIS point
have anything to do with "a glass of water"?  Will the rich man get "any" credit for
his donation?  Will it be "remembered"?  A Little Story :   There was a water seller
on a busy street corner and a ragged fellow asks him for a drink but has no money.
The seller feels sorry for him and gives him a free one, but he looks around first to
see of anyone is watching lest others hit him up for a freebe.  Another Little Story:
A group of people are walking along and one of them is carrying a vessel of water
and the carrier sees a thirsty fellow and asks him if he would like a drink which he
normally wouldn't do but he was with friends he knew would expect him to offer
the thirsty chap a drink. Although these examples are interesting to contemplate
and would result in varying  opinions as to what merit each would ( or wouldn't )
have, the underlying value to any of them has to do with the Heart of each involved.
For it is our Hearts that matter.  Does HE dwell in YOUR HEART ?  IF HE does, then
HE forgives your SINS.....ALL OF THEM !   Old ones, current ones, and ones not yet
committed. IF...HE does, then your "charities" will be motivated by HIM. This is just
one more Blessing we can be thankful for. Another burden HE wants us to surrender
to HIM. A Heart in which JESUS resides becomes SINLESS in HIS Eyes. We TRUST
HIM to do the RIGHT thing with the Choices we are faced with. So how do we KNOW
that HE is Living in our Hearts ?  Cuz that's where HE Talks to Us From...nowhere else.
