Well the news is reporting that before the Brexit vote, there was a lot of "disinformation" that has made Britons want a referendum in light of that fact.

However, there are those who say that the popular vote is not trustworthy and is uninformed; and so they want to take away the voice of the people ( voting) and have government branches determine major issues ( the powers that be,TPTB )

With many nation-states poised to withdraw from the EU, there is now a push for a Federated EU...one nation, instead of Eurozone 28. This of course means that each nation state will lose their nationalism, have to pool armed forces, lose their currency and taxation policies, their criminal law systems and their their central banks. Perhaps that information was left out before the vote.

Equally undesirable, is the fact that they will all have "a common foreign policy".

This will make the office of  "Union Minister of Foreign Affairs" (UMFA)  extremely powerful. If that person is given a voice at the U.N. as representing
Europe, he may use that platform for global mandates.

During the Reagan-Rumsfeld years, there was much talk of "Old Europe", meaning the most powerful nations of Europe, prior to the EU. They were England, France and Germany who are now pressing harder than any other countries to follow exit strategies. They were referred to as the "E-3". 
These exits are being promoted by FM Frank-Walter Steinmeir (Germany) and FM Jean-Marc Ayrault (France)... England having already voted.

If these 3 are "plucked up by the roots" as stated in Daniel 7:8, they could be a force to contend with, since they are the main financiers of Western Europe That will bring the number of Western European Union nations to 10....as in ten toes and ten horns of the book of Daniel.

We must keep in mind that England is STILL 100% in the E.U because the Brexit vote is not finalized until Article 50 of the European Constitution is
actuated.

Is this the time we will see some former political figure arise over the EU as a Foreign Minister in the same capacity as Ashton? .... while the EU is still the same EU... before Article 50  is implemented?
  
This is definitely a time to watch European politics.
The French election comes as early as April 23, 2017 and the German election as early as August 27, 2017. Let's keep watching.
