"Matthew 24:14"

Hello, John and Doves,

Many of y'all may be scratching your heads as to how the 7 year tribulation and the 1/2 week Great Tribulation can possibly harmonize with a 5776 Jewish year Second Coming.
The new year, 5776, starts on the evening of Sunday, 13 September 2015.
We are still here as of this writing, 7:45 pm, 30 June 2015.

5776 is supposed to be the 70th Jubilee since Joshua and Caleb first set foot in the Promised Land, during the fall grape harvest of about 1415 BC.

The whole of Israel entered during the spring in the 40th year of the escape from Egypt.

The first Jubilee year began in the fall of 1366 BC, in the 50th year of the entry by the first group of 12 spies, only two of which were faithful.

You always start the count with the year that you are in.  The Jubilee year is always the 1st year in the count up to the next. Therefore, it is the 50th year as well.

The counts are always 49 years [Leviticus 25:8-9].

8“In addition, you must count off seven Sabbath years, seven sets of seven years, adding up to forty-nine years in all. 9Then on the Day of Atonement in the fiftieth year,a blow the ram’s horn loud and long throughout the land."
NLT

This is the most logical and direct way to preserve the shmita counts of seven years.  Every seventh year is supposed to be a release from personal debts, among other things.

This Jewish year, 5775, is a shmita year.  On 29 Elul, the end of the shmita year, all the action takes place.

In this gentile year of 2015, 29 Elul begins on the evening of Saturday, 12 September 2015, at sunset (more or less).

All interpretation of Holy Scripture is God's domain.

It is written,
32For a remnant of my people will spread out from Jerusalem,
a group of survivors from Mount Zion.
The passionate commitment of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies
will make this happen!
Isaiah 37:32 NLT

You see, just exactly how God brings His Word to pass is His business.
He may give us intriguing hints and riddles, but God and God alone gets the glory!  Hallelujah!

Keep on keeping on with "even now faith":
