"Compelled"

Greetings John,

Long time reader first time posting. Thanks for what you do with this web page.  May God Bless you!

Anyway, I recently went through a tragic death in my family and was compelled to write this poem. I haven’t bothered to try and write a poem for more than 25 years.  I thought I would share.

Thanks!

A world formed – oh so round
A garden planted in its ground
A pair created for his pleasure
Given to them his genetic treasure

With jealously - how could this be?
How can you make them better than me?
I must disrupt and distort this line
I am the beautiful one - it should be mine!

I will corrupt them –I will take them down
They will disappoint you – you will see!
Disrespectful to your Crown
I hate your stupid tree

What have you done in your displeasure?
You say my creation does not need the creator
Time I will give for it to prove
That what you have done – was not the right move

And to the man whom I have formed
Your days are now numbered death will come
I will ensure my image will remain
Through your offspring it will maintain

My servant will come whom I approve
He without sin- you will bruise
You will bend his flesh until dead
Three days later he will crush your head

So I take rest and give it to you now
Go- prove to my creation in Heaven and below
But your sin will convict you in My Heavenly court of law
The case will be closed once and for all

I will return from my day of rest
And pick it up from where it was left
For my will is to have made this line
For the angels are a separate kind

My creation will thrive once again
Tears removed no more dead
And with my Son they will shine
Eternity - without you without time
