"Do the evil rich never stop pulling ideas "from where the sun don't shine?"  A 10 to 11 hour work week?  The Devil has work for idle hands."

Hello, John and Doves,

Do the evil rich never stop pulling ideas “from where the sun don’t shine?”  [That’s the broken-down gates of hell, where the Devil makes his loser plans.]

A 10 to 11 hour work week?  The Devil has work for idle hands.

It is written,

            Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.

Proverbs 19:21  NIV

Again, it is written,

            30There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.

31The horse is made ready for the day of battle,

but victory rests with the Lord.

Proverbs 21:30-31  NIV

Yet again, it is written,

            27Why do you complain, Jacob?

Why do you say, Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord;

my cause is disregarded by my God”?

28Do you not know?

Have you not heard?

The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth.

He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom.

29He gives strength to the weary

and increases the power of the weak.

30Even youths grow tired and weary,

and young men stumble and fall;

31but those who hope in the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 40:27-31  NIV

Finally, it is written,

            6Seek the Lord while he may be found;

call on him while he is near.

7Let the wicked forsake their ways

and the unrighteous their thoughts.

Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,

and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

8“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways,”

declares the Lord.

9“As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10As the rain and the snow

come down from heaven,

and do not return to it

without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

11so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:6-11  NIV
