I stumbled across this today:

It is the Jewish interpretation from Genesis, where God says:

 

"Let US make man in OUR image." 

 

For Christians, obviously,  US and OUR is the Trinity:  God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

 

 

Certainly not for the Jews.....I thought this interpretation was quite unique then.

As a Christian, I just don't understand HOW a Jew can read the Torah, ESPECIALLY Isaiah 53.....

 

and NOT see Jesus Christ as their Messiah...

 

At the end of the article it says "So the Torah reveals to us this amazing secret: that ultimate choice was made by us, before we even existed. Before G-d emanated your soul and breathed it into your body, you were asked if you should be. So in every situation in which you find yourself, in every challenge you face in your life--you are there because you chose to be placed in that life."

 

 

I thought the ULTIMATE CHOICE was made....by........GOD!!   Certainly NOT me....  ??

PS......once read the book "What Color is Your Parachute"  At the end was a story that went like this:

 

WHAT IF........just before you were born, God whispered into your ear what it is you were supposed to DO on earth.....but when you were born....BOOM...INSTANT amnesia... and then you spent your life trying to find out what it was God told you you were supposed to do in this life."

 

NOW I KNOW where that idea came from......MUST HAVE BEEN a Jewish idea!!  ??
