"Interesting books  mentioned in the Bible    !"

How many of us go and check the references  that are given to us  when we read something  ?  Some do  and Some don’t .

If someone writes something on a subject and  gives a reference  to a certain book; like for exemple  :   ref. to  dictionnairy  Columbia ....  we should be encouraged to do the
reference and check if it is there   etc...

Jesus referred , many a time , to the books of the prophets as they have written about  Him.  We are encouraged to go and check what the prophets wrote, Don’t we ?

The point I want to make is :   The book of Henoc  is mentionned in the Bible   in  Jude 1:14    and   Heb 11 : 5   .... We  all know that the book of Henoc in not
Part of the books  included in the Bible  but  still.... isn’t  up to us  to try and get this book in the libraries or on the Internet  and find out what  Henoc has written ?

How many of us go and check in the book of Henoc
what is written ?   If  we do.... We will find in the book   that  Henoc mentionned  LOTS   of interesting  things.    Exemple   :   Giants   and Fallen angels , trone of GOD.etc...

We  should check this book  and our  view of the scriptures in the Bible  would  be greater. Some passages would come clearer  as we refer to the book of Henoc.

One question :    How many of us  , when we read            Josuah           and          2 Samuel            ever asked questions about this book mentionned there. ?

I  am talking about the book of Jasher   ..... Josuah mentionned it in  chapt.  10 : 13           and also   2  Sam 1 : 18

How many of us go and check the book of Jasher  ?  Who  is  he  ?   What is this  book  ?
Seem to be very important as it is kept in the Bible as a reference for us   !  Before the  desapearance  of these books ( Henoc & Jasher ) , ancient prophets  had
them,  handy  enough to check in it  and write about it.     Why  don’t we  ?

Many interesting things are mentionned .  The stories from  Geneses to Abraham  are mentionned with a different point of view and explain details of things not mentionned in the Bible.
Moses wrote about the Geneses  and  some details are not mentionned by  him.  Generations, ages , places, etc...
If this book is mentionned in the Bible...Why shouldn’t we go check .   Joshua  did   and  Samuel did...    Bible has recorded this... WHY  DON’T  WE  CHECK  ?

It has written details  that are interesting for  us ,  Christians  who want to look at things and check all things   and make sure we’re not missing anything.
Of coarse...there are things which is hard to understand  ... but  still... worth to be checked.

To end this note , I would like to encourage anyone , on the  Fives Doves   to check on this and give an opinion of their study.
