Yes, it's true this Date could also pass uneventfully.

However, with all that is going on in America, the Middle East and the World, paying attention to specific Dates can only be a good thing.

Pentecost is called the "Feast of the harvest", in the Word.

For we read,

"You shall keep...the Feast of Harvest.[Exod.23:15,16]

The Lord said,

"...the Harvest is the End of the Age."[Matt.13:39]

Putting these verses together appears to indicate that Pentecost is the Feast of the End of the Age!!!

Now to locate the correct Day of Pentecost for 2013, we must first count off 7 Sabbath Days, and then number 50 Days, from the 10th of Sivan.

My old Tyndale's English Bible, reads as follows:

"And ye shall count from the morrow [16th of Nisan/29th of March] after the sabbath [15th of Nisan/28th March]: even from the day [16th of Nisan/29th of March] that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering, seven weeks complete: even unto the morrow [9th of Sivan/20th of May] after the seventh week [8th of Sivan/19th of May] ye shall number fifty days." [Lev.23:15,16]

Notice, in the above verse, the verb "count" is used for the sabbath days, and the verb "number" is used for fifty days.

The Lord wants the reader to understand that the counting of 7 Sabbaths is then followed by the numbering of 50 Days, after the 9th of Sivan!

9th of Sivan + 50 Days = 29th of Tammuz [Pentecost]

"...He [that is, the Lord] shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire [33 AD]: Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat[the righteous] into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff[the sinners] with unquenchable fire. [Matt.3:11,12]

Notice in the above verse that Pentecost at the beginning of the Christian Church Age was for the baptism of true believers.

Now that we are at the End of the Christian Church Age, Pentecost appears to be for the gathering up of saints [wheat] into heaven at the Rapture!

While all those who don't know God and refuse to obey the gospel will be left behind to be destroyed and damned to hell.

Millions will perish between now and 2016!!!

6 Since it is a righteous thing with God...to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,
8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who DO NOT KNOW GOD, and on those who DO NOT OBEY THE GOSPEL OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
