"Don't ask, "Who's on first?""

Hello, John and Doves,

Don't ask, "Who's on first?"

Ask, "Who's first off?"

...off the ground in a powered, heavier-than-air flight.

Please read:

Oui, mes amis, the time is coming when all things will be set right.

The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah.

2 Chronicles 36:21  NIV

Jesus Christ Himself confirmed the idea of counting

Daniel's seventy weeks [Daniel 9:20-27] as seventy weeks of years

when He alluded to forgiveness of debt [See:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmita].

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:22  KJV

And yet, in the same breath, with the selfsame words, Yeshua Ha Mashiach also alluded to the Jubilee year, when a suburban house that had been sold to pay debts was returned to its rightful owner.  [Leviticus, chapter 25]

It is written,

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Daniel 9:24  KJV

You see, what most people forget as regards this verse is the principle that says:

"The first fulfillment guarantees the ultimate fulfillment."

This verse aptly describes Christ's first coming:

1.    to finish the transgression [Genesis 3:15]

2.    to make an end of sins [Psalm 103:12]

3.    to make reconciliation for iniquity [Ephesians 2:11-22]

4.    to bring in everlasting righteousness [2 Corinthians 5:21]

5.    to seal up the vision and prophecy [It really is all about Jesus!]

6.    to anoint the most Holy [Mark 14:19, Matthew 26:6-13]

Daniel 9:24 also aptly describes the Millennium:

1.    to finish the transgression [Micah 7:18]

2.    to make an end of sins [Jeremiah 31]

3.    to make reconciliation for iniquity [Leviticus 26:40-45]

4.    to bring in everlasting righteousness [Isaiah 9:7]

5.    to seal up the vision and prophecy [It really is all about Jesus!]

6.    to anoint the most Holy [Leviticus 25:8-9]

That's right.  Sometimes, BOTH the preterists and futurists are correct.

In this case, Daniel 9:24 succinctly combines the exact timing for both the 1st and 2nd parousias of Yeshua Ha Mashiach, 2000+ years apart.

Now, back to the signs of the times.

Certainly, it was inequitable to have neglected

the accomplishments of Gustave Whitehead,

as regards powered, heavier-than-air flight.

Does that amount to iniquity?

Maybe, maybe not.  But things are being set straight.

It is interesting to note that WWI and WWII planes, most ultralights, and most commercial jetliners today resemble the Wright Brothers' accomplishments.

On the other hand, English biplanes and German triplanes, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, the Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk, the Northrup-Grumman B-2 Stealth Bomber, the Space Shuttle, Buran (the Russian Space Shuttle), and Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipOne all show the clear influence of Gustave Whitehead's aeronautical engineering.

Go figure.

The LORD likes His ducks [and Nighthawks] all in a row.
