Thanks for your kind words. I do not take offense if someone doesn't agree with me. This is a hard subject we are dealing with. We can all get farther along in our understanding by putting all our ideas out there. One may see what another fails to see. I don't know everything. I just want to know everything.

 

You mentioned Ed. When we met, I was 17 and he was 22. Before that, I had thought a 17-year-old should not go with a 22-year-old. However, the way it happened, I didn't even think of that till now. We couldn't meet until he came home from Japan after WWII. On board ship coming home, he prayed for a Christian wife, and the Lord picked me. It worked like magic when he finally asked me out. He asked me out once and got me forever, and in our 65 years together, we never had a fight.

 

Only in the last few days have I realized why he had to die before me. We wanted to go up together in the Rapture. However, if the Lord hadn't taken him away, he could not have sent him back to visit me and give me information that I needed to know now that we are so close to the First-Trump Rapture. Ed had 5-bypass heart surgery in 1998 or I would have lost him then. His pump rate was only 10 % during surgery. That was too close for comfort.

 

Heaven is real. Ed and I can be together forever. People there are as if 33 years old and fully awake. They can visit their family and their spouse's family that are in Heaven. Although in their celestial bodies, they can wear clothing that can walk through the wall with them. How they manage that, I don't know. Ed has a piano. I'm so glad, he loves to play the piano, and I love to hear him play. Both kids have fond memories of waking up to Dad's playing the piano.

 

There are female angels in heaven. Only male angels are mentioned in the Bible.

 

Therefore the beings that lived on Earth before Adam and Eve must have been angels. Skeletons found in Anatolia, Turkey, are of males, females and children, and they were not giants. However, some did have 6 fingers. One thing stands out in my mind. Many of the females died at 20 years old. Their spines already showed deterioration from hard physical work. Why they chose it, I don't know yet. It might have been because of Satan's lies.

 

Or, like me, they might not have realized that what they were doing to their backs would cause permanent injury.

 

Jude 1:6 says, "And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

 

Isa 51:9,10 says, "Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD (i.e., the Son of God, Isa 53:1); awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut (lit., split) Rahab (now our Asteroid Belt), and WOUNDED THE DRAGON? 10  Art thou not it which hath DRIED THE SEA, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?"

 

I have counted the days of the Tribulation as 2300, because of Dan 8:13-14.

 

It says, "Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14  And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed."

 

Where do you get 1184 days?

I think the oil stands for the Holy Spirit. Mt 24:48-51 shows me that the "evil servant" is a believer, so will have some oil.

 

Mat 24:48-51 says, "But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, MY LORD delayeth his coming; 49  And shall begin to smite his FELLOWSERVANTS, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50  The lord of that SERVANT shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51  And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

 

Mat 25:1,2 says, "Then (tote, at that time) shall THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 2  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish."

 

Luk 12:42-46 says, "And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 43  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 44  Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. 45  But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; 46  The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder (lit., cut him off), and will appoint him his portion (i.e., the Great Tribulation) with the unbelievers."

 

Mat 24:51 adds, "And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites (pretenders): there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

 

Mat 22:12-14 says, "And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14  For many are called, but few are chosen."

 

Rev 17:14  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are WITH HIM ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL."

 

We will be with Christ before the 10 kings appear (17:12).

How could the five foolish virgins be called "virgins" if they were not saved?  The way we get into that category is to accept Christ as our own personal Saviour. Our lamps are lit when we are saved.

 

The foolish virgins have lighted lamps. They just do not have extra oil to keep them burning brightly for a long time. They are already sputtering, threatening to go out. They just have enough to be saved. They need extra Holy Spirit to make it through the hard times that will precede the last Rapture. Those will be the days when they will be tried.

 

 

 

I would like to take this opportunity to give my understanding of the parable of the10 virgins.

 

 

 

1.       All are virgins - To me this means all have kept themselves pure.  They have done all the right things!

 

2.       All have lamps – Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

 

3.       All slumbered and slept – seems pretty clear to me.

 

4.       All arose, and trimmed their lamps – All are doing the right things.

 

5.       5 foolish took no oil with them – here is the only difference between the two.  The foolish took no oil, none, not even a little bit or even a drop, NONE!

 

6.       5 wise took oil in their vessels – The wise had just enough for themselves.

 

 

 

You said that the foolish had run out of oil or are sputtering to go out.  It seems very clear to me that the foolish have no oil to begin with.  Being virgins or doing the right things will not save you, nor will having the word of God save you.  To me you must have the oil or the Holy Spirit to be saved.  I am sure they will be saved in the tribulation time though!  One more thought that I would like to bring out here is that you have made an assumption that the five foolish virgins are the Laodiceans.  There is no direct link between the Laodiceans and the foolish virgins in the parable!  I agree the Laodiceans are foolish but they are not the ones from this parable though.
