Yes; Hebrews 9:27 does address the belief in reincarnation;
but it is much deeper than that. This verse in and of itself
is not complete without verse 28. known to us because of the
(:) therefore it requires us to read on and finish the
sentence.
The prelude [begins] in Hebrews 9:24 and is completed
in verse 26.
Now we start verse 27 and ends in 28.
Lazarus was raised through the mercy and love of our Lord.
Remember what Christ told us in John 5:19-34 about the
raising of the dead. These marvels are for the purpose
that we might [believe] and be saved. There will come an
hour when [all] that are in the grave(s) shall hear his
voice and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto
"the resurrection of life"; (and) they that have done evil,
unto "the resurrection of damnation".
Those whom our Lord did raise did die; for the purpose that
we might believe and be saved; but those whom the Father
brings forth unto [eternal] life, and eternal damnation
stayed raised in another form. 1 John 3:2 KJV
Beloved, [now] are we, the sons of God, and [ it
doth not yet appear what we shall be:] but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see
him [as] he is.
We as believers are [also] raised up from death unto life
through our faith and belief in the resurrection of Jesus. "
Now" are we Alive from the death of our sinful nature.
The completed physical fulfillment of this , of course, is
at the Rapture/ Catching away.
Enoch and Elijah both were caught up because of they
believed God. They looked forward to Christ's victory over
death, hell, and the grave, and I believe these two men are
"purposed" to be the "two witnesses" for an appointed time.
Paul and all the disciples ( except John the beloved)
died because of their witness for Christ. These [also] await
their eternal form.
The dead in Christ and we who are Alive and remain at his
coming will be changed in an instant and we [all] shall
forever be with the Lord.
We all go together.
I guess it all depends how we as individuals receive the
scripture.
There was a man who turned into Jerry's Sunoco Station in
Abingdon Va.
He said to Jerry "I need an alternator". Jerry checked the
alternator and it tested good, only a wire was damaged that
connected to the alternator and the battery.
Jerry repaired the wire and told the man he did not need an
alternator. Jerry did not charge the man a fee. He labored
for the man freely.
The man left Jerry's Sunoco Station and drove three blocks
to another service station and told Larry, who was Jerry's
brother; that he need an alternator. That he was just down
the road at Jerry's Sunoco and he must have not wanted to
work. Larry in turn said to the man, " yes sir; you need an
alternator, and put an new one in at the cost of $180.00.
Another man pulls into Larry's service station and asks if
there was a liquor store close by? Kenny the attendant said
" Yep and pointed, it's just across the street. The man said
," well how do I get there?" Kenny thought for a moment and
said to the man, " turn right out of the station and go down
to the stop sign and turn left. Go down to the next stop
sign and turn left again, follow the curve in the road and
when you come to the light here on 19, turn left again and
the liquor store is on the left there across the street.
The man followed Kenny's directions and when he turned into
the liquor store across the street from the service station,
he looked across at Kenny and scratched his head.
The moral to the stories above ( which are true) is that
some listen and some don't listen.
Like the saying," he went around his thumb to get to his
elbow".
They received what they asked for , but it was how
they received what they were told.
Romans 4:24,25
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we
[believe] on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the
dead; who was delivered for our offences, and was raised
[again] for our justification.
