"Dividing the New
Testament into Jewish and Christian?"
Actually I think a strong case could be made for 3 people
groups? 1 Corinthians 10:32 "Give no offense to the
Jew, to the Greek (Gentile) or to the Church of God or a better
Pauline way of saying it to the Body of Christ. One can be a Jew
and come to Christ and he is a New Creation. One can be a
Gentile during this dispensation and come to Christ and he is a
New Creation. What happens after the Catching Away? The Body of
Christ is Removed, and you have an Unbelieving Gentile World
that says let's destroy the Jews and take Jerusalem. So after
the catching away there will be 2 people groups left. Why did
Jesus in his earthly ministry only have dealings in scripture
with 2 Gentiles? Two and 1/2 if you count the woman at the well
who was half Jewish. Why did he tell his disciples not to go to
the Gentiles? Jesus, John the Baptist and the Disciples ( they
had a vested interest because they will sit on thrones during
the kingdom) proclaimed the Gospel of the Kingdom because the
King was in their midst. What do you have to have for a Kingdom,
a King. When they rejected their King, the Nation of Israel was
set aside during this Dispensation. The Risen Savior stopped
Saul on the road to Damascus to proclaim what Paul would
eventually call "My Gospel"and during this dispensation it is
open to Jew and Gentile alike. The Gospel of Grace 1 Corinthians
15:1-4 What happens after the catching away? The Jews (the
nation of Israel) finishes her last 7 years of the 490 year
curse. Israel is being prepared to become the Head of the
Nations during the Tribulation. What is proclaimed during this
period? The King is Coming, and the Kingdom is being made
ready. God Bess, Jimmy
