Yes, that was very bold.

How many, like yourself, would be willing to face ridicule or condemnation for believing in the perfect, pure, and preserved word of God?

In the past I used to be intimated by those who attempted to debate me about that.

Finally I realized that the truth of the pure word of God does not depend upon my ability to win a debate.

Others tried very hard to make me think that if I couldn’t defeat them in the debate, then I had to stop believing in that pure book.

That was simply pride on both my part & their part.

How foolish I was to think that the word of God depended upon me.

On the contrary, I need to depend upon it.

You have greatly encouraged me to stand fast.
