Dear Doves,I have been a reader of fivedoves for about 12 years, but have posted very rarely. I have been trying to make a hard decision recently and before I went to bed last night I asked God to give me guidance about the decision in a dream.Instead, I had a "rapture" dream, only the second I have ever had (the first was in June 2001).In the dream I was on a train into the city where I live and work. The train stopped because there was a disaster ahead of us. I looked out of the train's open door and the city ahead was shrouded in fire and smoke. A series of explosions had struck the city. Then I saw a giant ship in the sky and it was clear that the rapture was occuring. I began to ascend and woke up praying and repenting feverishly that God would count me worthy to board the ship. I felt God encouraging me to put aside my temporal concerns and focus on my spiritual state.I wonder if the disaster is symbolic of the sudden destruction and if the train and ship (which according to some Christian dream dictionarys are symbolic of the church) could mean that some believers from the church are about to be raptured? Was the ship I saw something akin to Noah's ark?I am encouraged by the dream (its symbols seem very clear) and am wondering if it was a sign that our redemption is close? It occurs to me that the dream occurred 133 months after my first rapture dream. This made me think of Psalm 133 - does this picture the rapture at all?Another thing that I would like to share is that I have a strong interest in economics and I think there is a very good probability that the world will experience a great deal of financial turmoil in the months ahead. I do not say this lightly - I have studied this for many years. The US equities market made a top in May this year which I think was the beginning of a very large decline, likely much larger than the 2008 crash. My views are based on the work of Robert Prechter of www.elliottwave.com and Dale Woodson of www.woodsonwave.com. I encourage the doves to become familiar with their predictions. They provide a very useful input on the west's finanical position and the likely disasterous outcomes over the next several years.winston
