I was in that same storm you are speaking of and I have NEVER in my entire life ever been in a storm that had constant, unending lightening flashes from start to finish!  It was very frightening, but I kept thinking all the time about the lightening that flashes from the THRONE of God and how near HE IS TO US right now! Most storms will have flashes of lightening from time to time, along with the thunder - THIS storm had ceaseless LIGHTENING! If anyone tried to escape it, there was no escaping it - not unless you were buried underground in a bunker! Perhaps that is why, during the GREAT Tribulation, people will be diving for bunkers when they see the SIGN of the Son of Man appearing in the heavens and crying out "save us from the WRATH of the LAMB"!
