1 Financial...1 Political......1st, last Wed while in (surprisingly) Costa Rica.Movie: The HBO Special documentary on the US Financial Crisis of 2008Memorable quote: Christine ? formerly of the EU Banking center....NOW, President of the IMF(I like her.....I respect her abilities and insight into the financial problems both in the EU and the USA)She said "I was talking to Hank Polson, US Treasury Scty in March, 2008....and I said 'Hank, you have to do something or it's going to be too late....'" (This was 6 months BEFORE the crisis in the fall of 2008)She continues..."and Hank said 'Christine...don't worry....nothing's going to happen, we've got a handle on this."WOW! UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!While I am NOT an Obama fan.......I watched this and thought "Obama needs to do a campaign ad that goes like this. 'All US citizens NEED to watch the HBO special on the financial crisis in 2008....and HOW WE GOT THERE.....and WHO was running the country for the 8 years before that, the Republicans. Go watch this documentary.....and then.....GO VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE....and vote for me, Obama, Democrat! Do you want the people who led us into this crisis running the country again......or do you want to give me 4 more years to do it my way.....the Democratic Party way? "Hey......you can all too EASILY make the point that he DID inherit the mess.And, I seriously don't think the Republicans could have done any better in the last 4 years....but then Hey.....THAT speculation is what the Presidential Election is ALL about.....isn't it????2nd, tonight July 3Movie: "U.N. me"
It's about all the failures of the United Nations over the last 20 years......Most of us already HATE the UN....right?THIS movie will make you want to THROW UP........That we spend ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY.....even $1.....on this HORRIBLE HORRIBLE 3rd world country type of political enterprise....is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!As I write this even now.....I'm thinking....'NO WONDER, AFTER THE RAPTURE, A MAN WILL RISE TO POWER IMMEDIATELY (the anti-christ)...... who will be there to soothe the anxieties of the world.WHAT A BUNCH OF MORONS RUNNING THAT PLACE....Before this movie, I had "hoped" that the UN Scty Generals of the past 20 years + had SOME sense of dignity and sense of moral responsibility.....but, apparently, and sadly....
