Today’s paper brought a comic strip by Non Sequitur that
reminds me of the work that watchers like this blog are
trying to accomplish. We labor hard and long within a
society that ignores at best or reacts negatively to
the message that we bring.
The comic strip brings a couple who is completely blind
to the message of repentance and labels the messenger as a
nut ready to be discovered by the squirrel. The irony is
that the blind squirrel discovers the nut and therefore is
saved while those who profess seeing are lost to the message
of salvation.
