"The Age of Grace ending??  Who are you trying to kid?"

Hello, John and Doves,

The "Age of Grace," as some are overfond of repeating,
can never end.

For it is written,
"Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old."
Psalm 25:6  KJV

Again, it is written,
"But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children,"
Psalm 103:17  ESV

We are saved by grace, and by His grace we remain His children for all time.  If His grace should fail, then we have no hope.  And we are not special.  If He shows grace to us, then He must show grace to others as well.  Else, we are on the cusp of eternity, when no more get saved.

However, the Jubilee is not yet come, much less the 1000 year reign of Yeshua Ha Mashiach.
Therefore, grace cannot have ended, nor will it end.  We are simply coming to the beginning of Christ's reign, when He will not tolerate slackers.  And at the end of the 1000 years, we must remember the following scripture.

4"You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. 5Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?a 6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:

'God opposes the proud

but gives grace to the humble.'b

7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."

James 4:4-10  NIV

The clause, "Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom," in verse 9, above, is especially apropos to the period between 1 Elul 5775 and 10 Tishrei 5776.
