Some
things about the antichrist and his father:
Genesis
3:14 ¶ And the LORD God said unto the serpent,
Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed
above all cattle, and above every beast of the
field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt
thou eat all the days of thy life:
15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman,
and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise
thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
There
is to be the seed of the woman (Jesus Christ born of
a virgin), that will bruise the head of the seed of
the serpent. The seed of the woman was to be God
manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16). The seed of
the woman was to be the Son of God. However, who was
the seed of the serpent to be? Who was going to be
that manifested son of Satan, that would bruise the
heel of the Messiah, but would in the end have his
head bruised by that same Messiah? Now, in a
spiritual sense, there are children of the devil:
Matthew
13: 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the
children of the kingdom; but the tares are the
children of the wicked one;
John
8:44 Ye are of your father the
devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He
was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not
in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it.
I
John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was
of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And
wherefore slew he him? Because his own works
were evil, and his brother’s righteous.
However,
there was to be a special, unique, prophesied seed
of the serpent. The Messiah was to be called the Son
of God (Luke 1:35), but what would they call the
seed of the serpent?
John 17:12 While I was with them in the
world, I kept them in thy name: those that
thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them
is lost, but the son
of perdition; that the
scripture might be fulfilled.
Judas,
who betrayed the Messiah, and bruised Messiah's
heel, was called the son of perdition. However,
then there is the following:
II Thessalonians 2:3 ¶ Let no man
deceive you by any means: for that day
shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin
be revealed, the son of
perdition;
The
son of perdition, the antichrist, will oppose the
Messiah, and have his head bruised by the Messiah.
Only these two times is the term son of perdition
mentioned in the scriptures. So, either there were
to be two seeds of the serpent, two sons of
perdition, two thousand years apart - or somehow,
they are the same son of perdition. What made Judas
different from the other disciples?
70 Jesus
answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve,
and one of you is a devil?
Jesus
didn't say that Judas was like a devil, or had a
devil, but that he was a devil. Something about
Judas made him spiritually different, the son of
perdition. Jesus, the one speaking was both God and
man, the other eleven disciples were only man, but
Judas was somehow man and devil. Although Judas was
a devil, he still ended up having Satan enter him
when he betrayed Jesus.
Luke
22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed
Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
27 And
after the sop Satan entered into him. Then
said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do
quickly.
Since
Satan is not a trinity, this is the closest that he
can come to counterfeiting the Trinity, by entering
the son of perdition. However Jesus is God, and God
is a Trinity, therefore with Jesus it was always
true, that:
Colossians 2:9 For in
him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
John
14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father,
and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto
you I speak not of myself: but the Father that
dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Both
Jesus and Judas died. However, after three days and
three nights, the Son of God rose from the dead, but
what happened to the son of perdition?
Acts
1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and
apostleship, from which Judas by transgression
fell, that he might go to his own place.
The
son of perdition didn't just go to hell like
everyone else, nor did he go to where the angels
which kept not their first estate were reserved in
chains of darkness, but he went to his own place.
This special, unique, and prophesied son of
perdition, went to a special, unique place, that was
his own place. Where is that? It's not hell, it's
not the place of the chains of darkness, it's not
yet the lake of fire, so which other place of the
abode of the damned is mentioned in the scriptures,
besides those other three? There is one other place,
the bottomless pit. The bottomless pit is unique.
There are some monstrous, wicked, spiritual locusts
in the bottomless pit, who are released for five
months during the tribulation, which have a king
over them, the angel of the bottomless pit. So who
is this angel of the bottomless pit? Could it be the
son of perdition, that devil that was sent there
when Judas hanged himself? If so, then who comes up
out of the bottomless pit?
Revelation
11:7 And when they shall have finished their
testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the
bottomless pit shall make war against them, and
shall overcome them, and kill them.
Revelation
17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not;
and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go
into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth
shall wonder, whose names were not written in the
book of life from the foundation of the world,
when they behold the beast that was, and is not,
and yet is.
The
antichrist, who is the son of perdition, comes up
out of the bottomless pit in the tribulation, so is
it not too hard to conclude that the son of
perdition was first sent there, after he had
betrayed the Son of God, and then hanged himself? So
then the son of perdition comes back in some kind of
perversion and counterfeit of the resurrection of
the Son of God. And just like the Son of God had a
three and a half year ministry, so also the son of
perdition is given a three and a half year ministry.
It is also
interesting to note, that he Son of God is called the
Word, seven times, with a large "W" (John
1:1,14; I John 1:1; 5:7; Rev 19:13).
Then
in an antitype, the son of perdition is called that
Wicked, with a large "W".
II
Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be
revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the
spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the
brightness of his coming:
The
Son of God is the express image of the Father:
Hebrews
1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us
by his Son, whom he hath
appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made
the worlds;
3
Who being the brightness of his glory,
and the express image of his person, and upholding
all things by the word of his power, when he had
by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right
hand of the Majesty on high;
John
14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long
time with you, and yet hast thou not known me,
Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the
Father; and how sayest thou then,
Shew us the Father?
Like
Father like Son, so also does the enemy attempt to
counterfeit this as well. Ezekiel prophesied to the
king of Tyrus, though it can easily be seen that he
is speaking about Satan, who was in Eden, who was
the anointed cherub that covereth.
Ezekiel
28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the
king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the
Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom,
and perfect in beauty.
13
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every
precious stone was thy covering,
the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl,
the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the
emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the
workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was
prepared in thee in the day that thou wast
created.
14
Thou art the anointed cherub that
covereth; and I have set thee so: thou
wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast
walked up and down in the midst of the stones of
fire.
15
Thou wast perfect in thy ways
from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity
was found in thee.
And
as we know that the son of the king is called the
prince. Ezekiel had earlier in that same chapter
prophesied to the prince of Tyrus, and who does this
prince remind us of?
Ezekiel 28:2 Son of man, say unto the
prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because
thine heart is lifted up, and thou
hast said, I am a God, I sit in the
seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a
man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the
heart of God:
Doesn't
this prince, the son of the king (who was shown to
be Satan), look a lot like the son of perdition?
II
Thessalonians 2:3 ¶ Let no man deceive
you by any means: for that day shall not come,
except there come a falling away first, and that man
of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that
is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he
as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing
himself that he is God.
The
son of perdition, appears to be the "spittin' image
of his father.
His
father is described as red with 7 head an 10 horns:
Revelation
12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven;
and behold a great red dragon, having
seven heads and ten horns, and
seven crowns upon his heads.
9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old
serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into
the earth, and his angels were cast out with
him.
But
then the son of perdition has a very similar
description:
Revelation 13:1 ¶ And I stood
upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of
the sea, having seven heads and ten horns,
and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the
name of blasphemy.
Revelation 17:3 So he carried me away in
the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit
upon a scarlet coloured beast,
full of names of blasphemy, having
seven heads and ten horns.
However,
the difference between this father and son, are the
crowns. The crowns of the father are on the 7 heads,
reigning over a spiritual kingdom, whereas the
crowns of the son are on the 10 horns, reigning over
an earthly kingdom.
So
that is why I conclude that the seed of the serpent
is the son of perdition, who was sent to the
bottomless pit after bruising Messiah's heel, but
will be let out on the world again in the
tribulation to have his head bruised by that same
Messiah, when the Son of God conquers and destroys
the kingdom of the son of perdition, and then has
the son of perdition cast alive into the lake of
fire (an antitype of the rapture, where some saints
are taken alive into heaven).
