Hello, John and Doves,Well, the first thing you need to know about knowing, is that you need to know you have a need to know. Knowwhatimean? So, if you believe, then you can know.It is written,"5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."I know some of y'all take great pride in being able to pry bits and pieces of wisdom from the eternal Word of God, but I'm here to tell you that the Bible is like a hologram. If you want to see detail, compare part with part, but don't take it apart. Knowwhatimean? It's fun to compare scripture with scripture, and in so doing, discover that the LORD backs up the words of Deke Slayton:"We're not saying anything new here. We're just saying the same things that need to be said again and again with fierce conviction." From The Right Stuff, Warner Brothers, 1983, screenplay by Philip Kaufman, based on the eponymous novel by Tom Wolfe, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1979.In the same vein, God also says things over and over in scripture, making sure that by all means we can understand His Word easily. Now, having understood the basics, and never forgetting them, we can go forward. The scientific method, as explained by my first semester College Physics teacher, is simply to proceed from the known to the unknown, not the other way around. In other words, every hypothesis must be simple enough that it can be tested with one experiment. Repeated, the successful experiment will deliver the same results, within the bounds of technical uncertainty.Having said that, we can see that whenever anyone "has a good list of some solid AC candidates," one must immediately begin weeding out the red herrings. The Devil excels at misdirection! Hint: if a guess is correct, then that person's every move is consistent with your guess. That means knowing the scriptures inside and out. That means having the discernment of the Holy Spirit. This means knowing things that, as a mere human, you have no right to know. This means being privy to the things only God can know. Watch out! The world is rife with counterfeits on every side! These are the days to be grounded in Yeshua Ha Mashiach alone! Stay in the Word! Keep your eyes on the prize. It is written,"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."Baruch Haba B'Shem Adonai!~Blessings,Mike C.
