On the site, http://www.tribulation-now.org/2012/07/07/sudden-destruction-now/, referenced in Cathy D's letter (shown below), I read about A.A. Alan's 1954 Vision of the USA being attacked by nukes [at about the middle of the web page].  He quotes Psalm 127:

Thermonuclear War The Sudden Destruction of Babylon The "sudden destruction" mentioned in 1 Thess. 5 is thermonuclear war and it's about to happen at any time now.  Not only have the Illuminati  "entities" been planning the elimination / destruction of the United States to usher in New World Order (the beast with ten heads in Revelation 13) for a very long time, but our Heavenly Father and His angels have warned us directly a number of times through prophecies, visions and dreams.  NOW we have direct evidences of these events unfolding before our very eyes. For me it was enough to know that the Bible clearly states these things will happen (Rev. 18, Jer. 51).  However I was a bit confused because I felt that Revelation 18 had to happen toward the end of the Great Tribulation.  However when you take the time to listen to the prophecies, dreams and visions given to us by God, it becomes very obvious these things shall happen FIRST. It is my strong belief that the Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Seals will open in rapid fire succession with the Fourth Seal being Global Thermonuclear War and the "sudden destruction" spoken of by Paul in 1 Thess. 5. Rev 6:7-8 Fourth Seal: Widespread Death on Earth 7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, "Come and see." 8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. NKJV And ... 1 Thess 5:1-3 The Day of the Lord 5 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. NKJV For this to make sense, you must understand that "The Day of the Lord" is a metaphor for the Great Tribulation period of 3.5 years (42 months, 1260 days, times times and half a time).  It is also referred to as "the hour of trial" in Revelation 3:10. Rev 3:10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. NKJV The reason "they" shall not escape is stated in 1 Thess. 5:3b is because "they" are the unrighteous.  The Bride of Jesus Christ SHALL escape hence the denotation.  The fact that the Bride DOES escape this fiery judgement upon Babylon the Great is subtly captured in Revelation 18 here: Rev 18:23 The light of a lamp shall not shine in you anymore, and the voice of bridegroom and bride shall not be heard in you anymore. NKJV The "light" of the lamp being the "good" Christians of the United States, and the bridegroom and bride are Jesus and the "church" (Ephesians 5:27). Eph 5:27 (...) that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. NKJV Folks ...  WE (the Bride of Jesus Christ) are leaving this earth SOON.  The sudden destruction can happen at any moment now.  The saber rattling of the Middle East is muffling the Winds of Thermonuclear War that we have been warned about by our Father who art in Heaven.  Evidence of Imminence From an Illuminati / New Word Order / Evil Cabal point of view, I covered this imminent destruction of the United States in the article entitled "The Purim Warning".  Here the Superbowl half-time show with Madonna clearly showed the United States of America being destroyed symbolically and sacrificially by the forces of darkness.  This  pre-attack demonstration of intent is known as "lesser magic" and is practiced by the shape-shifting forces of evil who worship Lucifer, the Prince of this World (The Holy Bible, John 14:30,  / Morals and Dogma, pp. 321 Albert Pike).
