"going home"
I will briefly try to share what my
husband and I have been going through for weeks...several years
actually. Trying to find where we should live after
selling our house in Central Oregon. We have gone from
place to place all over...extended visits to our
kids...friends...motels...never able to feel like anyplace is
right. Saturday we made an offer on a place out of sheer
desperation and yet could not go through with it. We are
here in Portland with relatives and all our family is gathering
for the marriage of our oldest son on Sat the 21st. God
has provided a wonderful place out in the country with friends
of our daughter for us to stay this week...He has provided for
us all along, but the displacement we have felt has not been
easy to deal with. Sunday, after recanting our offer on this
house the song "Two of Us" from the movie "I Am Sam" just
dropped into my spirit. It was specific and very personal to us
in all the obscure details of the poetry....just amazing!
Since we have no home and still have not a clue as to where that
might be...I am wondering it the concept of "going home" in the
song might have great significance. I sure hope so.
