"Re:
Colorado Fires"
Diane - please don't think that I was questioning if God was
bringing judgement on Colorado because of the Christians there
or the churches there or the Christian businesses there.
The correlation that I was questioning was between the decisions
of the government of the United States of America (President,
Pentegon) and their actions lately in regards to their
celebrating/honoring homosexuality and the extreme weather
conditions. The drought/fires reminded me of God's
judgement against Sodom that was manifested by raining down fire
and brimstone. I live in the mid-west - we have been
having drought conditions as well and it could break out into a
fire like Colorado at any moment, as could a good part of the
United States at this time as I understand it. We had
storms go through here four days ago with hurricane force
winds. It destroyed homes and farms and took out
electricity in city after city. The storm persisted all
the way across the United States to the capitol steps. I
have many brothers and sisters in Christ as well and there are
many Christian businesses and people who do wonderful things for
the glory of the Lord here in the mid-west.
Although I was wondering if God was sending a message to the
United States Government, I also believe that at this very late
hour He is calling us Christians to repent and turn away from
the pleasures of the world (movies, alcohol, food,
sex, entertainment, gambling, preoccupation with anything that we
regard more fun, more satisfying than Him) and seek Him with our
whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. The day is drawing
near.
In Christian love,
