I had two thoughts on the meaning of hollic.

"-holic" is a prefix that is used with words like alcoholic, chocoholic, workaholic.  It is used to indicate a person having an abnormal desire for or dependence on something.

Is it possible that you might have heard "holy children"?  If so, then it would mean that "God's children" were being killed.
