Do not under any circumstances discontinue you mother’s medication.  She could die or have a stroke or heart attack.  Talk to her doctors about the side-effects and maybe a change in the medications.
 
I say this as a person who also suffers from congestive heart failure and takes what I call a chemist shop of pills, some side effects just have to be tolerated, but talk to her doctors or the hospital.  Did the hospital put you and her into contact with a Heart Failure Nurse who can visit her at home and advise or a cardiac rehabilitation centre?
 
I believe that God has guided doctors and scientists to develop life saving medications.
