"The Jewish month of Av and the Colorado massacre"

"Should I weep in the fifth month [Av], separating myself, as I have done these so many years?" (Zechariah 7:3).

The Hebrew month of Av is known as a time of mourning because of historic tragedies that have happened to the Jewish people during that month.  Specifically, the ninth day of Av, or Tisha B'Av, commemorates the destruction of the first and second Temples, both of which were destroyed on the ninth of Av (the first by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. and the second by the Romans in 70 A.D).  This also is the day of other tragedies of the Jewish people, most notably the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492.  In the year 2012, Av runs from July 20 to August 18.

Again, this year, the month of Av began on July 20.  This was the same day James Holmes killed 12 people and injured many others in a movie theater shooting rampage In Colorado.  Was this a harbinger of more to come?

Is there a connection between the tragic month of Av and the tragedy James Holmes perpetrated?  I do not know, but it is possible that evil spirits get stirred up in that month.

In addition, many Bible prophecy students see major prophetic events happening during the month of Av this year related to end-time events.  Fasten your seat belt.  More is probably coming.  Stay close to Jesus.
