This includes implantable hardware and things like catheters.The electronic health record (in the STIMULUS bill, not Obamacare) only requires those providers who bill MEDICARE to switch to the new EHR system. There are inducements for switching earlier and penalties for switching later. If your provider does not bill Medicare, there are no changes.I have been unable, as of now, to find anything mandating an IMPLANTED microchip for patients to receive health benefits.
