Here are my reasons.
 
1. "I desire to depart and be with Christ which is better by far." Philippians 1:23
 
2. I want to be rescued from the coming wrath. 1 Thess 1:10
 
3. Heaven is a beautiful place. I want to be there for good.
It is our permanent abode which God has prepared for those who love Him. I have read many books about personal testimonies concerning trips to heaven (and hell) and how my spirit leaps for joy each time I read about heaven. Of course the greatest and most compelling force is the Throne Room. From there the light and presence of God could be felt throughout  all heaven.
Each time I read one of these books I take it as a pleasure trip to heaven. I cannot afford the luxury of life (I don't miss them anyway) but praise God I can afford the luxury of reading such encouraging books. It is such a real joy and reward for me each time I read any one of these books. Here are some I have read :
