Recently a white bison calf was born on a farm in Connecticut:

Jim Bramlett's web site has an article about Maniilaq, the Eskimo prophet, which mentions the birth(s) of white buffalo.

here is another site, looks to be a Bible Study site for Native Americans about Jesus. It has a Salvation prayer at the end.  It mentions both Mannilaq and the white buffalo concept.

long story short, appearance of white buffalo are portents for Jesus' return. 

it's a good read, but I can't vouch for that site for sure.
