Your wonderful insights into scripture are most enlightening. I think we all assumed one thing too many, that the 7 years of Daniel and the 7 years in the New Testament(Revelation , etc) are the same. Apparently, perhaps they are not ? We were trying to fit pieces of two different pictures into a single picture.The parts do not fit.

We know for certain that Daniel's 7 years begin with the "confirmation of a covenant." That person who "confirms" is also marked with a number, 666.The math in Daniel adds up, exactly and to the day.The October 29, 2008 confirmation of Obama's covenant, his promises to change the world, is the ONLY instance, the only event that corresponds to the wording of Daniel 9:27," confirming a covenant with many." And there is only ONE man,a world leader, so completely covered from head to toe, with the number 666. Both his names, Barak and Obama, found in verse 6,606 and Chapter 6x6x6. Judges 4:6. Barak the son of Ab-in-Oam. This is the man and the event. It is no coincidence.

Our common assumption was that after three and one half years, the midpoint, on April 11 2012, there would be a transition to the events of the New Testament......a wound, a proclamation from the holy place, etc. However, if the seven years in Revelation are a different, perhaps an overlapping, set of years than those described in Daniel, it explains April 11th as a non event. There seems to be no revealed, scriptural, beginning date for the seven years in Revelation. However, we do know the mid-point. One will declare himself God. That is the New Testament mid-point. It is different than Daniel's midpoint, perhaps ? It seems likely that since both the start of Daniel's seven years and the midpoint of the new testament seven years are marked by Anti-Christ          "events", that the beginning of the  New Testament-Revelation seven years would also begin with some ( unknown, not described in scripture ) Anti-christ event. Someone recently proposed that the awarding of Obama the Nobel Peace prize was a significant date. That would push a midpoint date into 2013.

I think the Daniel 9:27 starting date of October 29,2008 is correct. Brother Ron hit the nail on the head. Daniel's clock is running. It just looks like we are awaiting another event which may me measured on a differentclock
