"Departure
Call For The Rapture"
Hi Everybody,
Somebody recently asked me what kind of advance warning I
thought we would have of the rapture. If we are truly out
of here in the twinkling of an eye I would definitely not want
to be in the bathroom when it happens, or in any other
compromising situation.
I believe that our Lord will continue to follow the traditional
Jewish wedding when He comes for His church. As I
understand it, the groom comes around midnight for his bride so
as to make it as much of a surprise as possible. However,
he comes with a shout and some fanfare, so as to give the
bride's family, and especially the bride, a few moments advance
warning in which to prepare. That is just common
courtesy. It is just enough time to get out of the
bathroom or shower.
When the rapture happens I would expect to hear either a single
trumpet to blow, or (more probably) a fanfare of trumpets to
blow. Then I would expect to hear a shout, just like the
Bible says. I would expect this shout to be an invitation
for all believers to come to the wedding and wedding feast of
the Lamb. I would also expect that only believers would
hear this, but I have no scripture to support that, just a gut
feeling.
I also believe that we are getting an advance boarding call
right now because the rapture is finally going to happen.
Most of the inhabitants of the entire planet are feeling a
growing feeling of dread that something really big is about to
happen. This feeling is getting stronger and stronger each
day, and yet it is a strange feeling that is difficult to put
one’s finger on and even more difficult to accurately
define. I know when the Holy Spirit speaks to me I do not
actually hear words in my head, but rather I have a very strong
feeling and I usually know exactly what it is about. This
is what I am feeling now about the rapture. We are being
told to get ready because it is finally going to happen.
Those who are not right with the Lord need to do so. Those
who are right with the Lord need to prepare themselves by
putting aside the last of their worldly cares and affairs, and
be emotionally ready to see the Lord again and to depart for a
new life in heaven.
