"Follow up on Samson
and the Holy Spirit"
Some will disagree with the following message, but this is what
I believe. I think it is important and I pass it along
that it might encourage brothers and sisters to keep their lamps
full.
Some say that all Christians will go in the pretrib
rapture. All Christians... lukewarm, devout, what have
you. Their idea is that salvation equates with being taken
in the rapture.
I want to make it clear that I believe we cannot lose our
eternal salvation, but we can most definitely lose our rewards.
In the parable of the ten virgins, only five were taken when the
groom came. Five were not ready by virtue of not having
enough oil for their lamps. The oil is the Holy Spirit.
The question must be asked, can the Holy Spirit become partially
depleted from Christians... not to the threat of losing our
eternal salvation, but to the threat of being left behind at the
pretrib rapture?
A short time ago, I posted my thoughts on Samson and the Holy
Spirit. When the Holy Spirit fully and powerfully came
down on Samson he was possessed of superhuman strength. He
was supernaturally strong ONLY when the Holy Spirit fully
possessed him. Not all of the time.
For us to be assured of being taken in the rapture, we must be
like the five virgins who had enough oil for their lamps.
We must be like Samson when he had the Holy Spirit come down on
him.
The Holy Spirit must be invited in... fully indwelling us.
Please Father, send us a powerful indwelling of the Holy
Spirit. Help us to be ready for meeting the Bridegroom.
Maybe I am wrong about this. But should anyone take the
chance?
