Mercer,You believe that "once you are saved/sealed you cannot lose your salvation" so I looked at the articles that you linked to and there he said that if someone goes back to the law they were never saved in the first place etc. Bottom line is they end up just as bad off either way. Personally I believe that it is possible to have "tasted of the heavenly... how does Hebrews say it:Hebrews 6:4...those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5. And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6. If they shall fall away...Do you believe it is possible to be made a partaker of the Holy Ghost and and the rest of the above scripture and not be "saved"?Do you believe you can be a "branch" in the "Vine" Jesus, and not be saved?John 151. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.Do you believe that you can be "In Christ" and not be saved and He vomits out lukewarm ones as in Rev 3:16?Your article you linked to says:_____________________________________________Before we begin, it’s important to remind ourselves that the Bible, being the word of God, cannot contradict itself. If Galatians 5 denies OSAS it’s in direct contradiction to statements the Holy Spirit led Paul to make in Ephes. 1:13-14 and 2 Cor. 1:21-22. Ephes. 1:13-14 tells us that our salvation is assured from the moment of belief with the Holy Spirit sealed within us as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. Before we had done anything, either good or bad, before we were baptized, before we had even fully responded to the altar call, we were saved forever. These other things are important, but our belief in the Lord’s completed work on our behalf came first and it’s the one essential ingredient to our salvation which alone brings us eternal life (John 1:12-13, 3:16, 6:28-29, 6:40)._______________________________________Yes we believed but we are warned that our belief must be maintained with confidence steadfast and firm unto the end (Heb 3:6) and that it is possible to fall away and become disqualified from the promises that go to the victor of the race we run etc...I believe it is possible to believe and then later fall away or into unbelief. OSAS believes that if someone falls away they were never saved in the first place but there are scriptures that say otherwise because you cannot fall from something that you never had obtained. Yes we are sealed at salvation but I believe we can break that seal again because God will not force anyone to be saved if they choose to go another way, like Israel in the wilderness they did not instantly arrive in the promised land but were tested in the wilderness first.
