This belief that the believers former lusts have been nailed to the cross and they are a new creature in Christ Jesus is a hard sell because of people's varying experiences, which like you say leads most believers back to a tendency to do works in the flesh to stay saved.
The free gift of salvation by grace through faith of Christ is not free if conditions are attached. God does not say " Free" and then say " now work for it" .
Yes, when this dispensation of grace of Christ comes to a close, then the gospel of the Kingdom with salvation through faith in Christ resumes.
Redemption through His blood NOW is not the same as redemption through His blood by making it without falling away.

 ... I have noticed that things are really on fire, on Five Doves!!  The letters and posts have all been so incredibly in tune with the signs of the times, and so many great insights and visions and dreams!!  No matter what, there is an underlying current of all of us being on the same page, not only in print, but in Spirit and in our love for the Lord!!  ...
