"To Steve Coerper re
Two Feet of the Body of Christ"
Steve,
I truly appreciate your thoughts on The Two Feet of the Body of
Christ. You are correct in that Joseph married his gentile
bride earlier. Gen. 41: 44 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I
am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot
in all Egypt.” 45 Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah
and gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On,[a] to
be his wife. And Joseph went throughout the land of Egypt.
I think insofar as Joseph marrying Asenath when he did, it still
remains a good parallel to Jesus taking a bride pretrib.
Parallels can take us only so far, but I think the overall
rationale still works.
I see you were reluctant to go along with there being two
raptures. I think, if I understood correctly, that you
believe that the Holy Spirit can't be diminished in our lives
and as such there will be just one rapture for all
Christians. We differ on that and I respect your thoughts
on the matter.
Let's just agree that we have some different thoughts on a few
things. I know I have truly benefited from many of your
studies and I enjoy reading your posts on Five Doves. I
appreciate your diligence for the Lord. We both know there are
so many things we will have to wait to find out, but maybe the
waiting won't be long.
