After the upcoming Rapture, the Third Temple will be built during the first 3 1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation Period. An "unblemished" red heifer will be needed to start up the sacrifices again. There is a whole story on this, too much to go into here. Plans for the Third Temple right now are well underway, but a "security agreement" will be necessary with the surrounding Arab nations in order to build the Third Temple on the Temple Mount where the Muslim Dome of the Rock is. This coming covenant is Daniel 9:27. I believe very strongly and have taught for many years (back to 1980) that the Daniel 9:27 covenant will encompass among other things a trade, Israel's right to build the Third Temple on the Temple Mount in trade for the Palestinians to form their state. Joel 3:2 warns against such a division of the land, which is God's land and it belongs to Israel!
Joel 3:2 states, "I will gather all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel (this happens right after the Second Coming), WHOM THEY (the nations) HAVE SCATTERED (the Jewish people) AMONG THE NATIONS (back in 70 AD), AND THEY HAVE DIVIDED UP MY LAND (the upcoming formation of a Palestian State). God does not want His land (Israel) divided, but it will happen, and this is part of the reason for the terrors of the Tribulation Period after the Rapture as God brings His judgment upon the nations!

Remember that right now Israel and the Jewish people think that animal sacrifices are necessary to atone for sin and please God, and of course they totally reject Jesus, Who happens to be Israel's Messiah! They could not be more wrong in wanting to do sacrifices, as Jesus did this redemptive work on the cross in sacrificing Himself, and all who believe in Him with not perish and will have eternal life once this life is over!

We don't know when, but the Rapture is most certainly approaching, and then the terrors of the 7 year Tribulation Period leading to the Second Coming of Israel's long rejected Messiah. And by the way, the Other Place is VERY real, and sadly most people go their in their rejection of God's plan for salvation! The choice is yours my Jewish friends!
