(The day of the LORD is his day, the day when Jesus will be greatly glorified, the day when all the world will know who he is.

It will be the day for his righteousness to prevail, the day of his justice, the day of his holy vengeance.

It will be the day when he will perfectly fulfill so many scriptures, written down thousands of years ago.

It will be the day that he will defeat his enemies, the day he saves all the remnant of Israel, the day he keeps his promises.

It will be the day that Jesus will be revealed as King of kings, Lord of lords, and God of gods.

This will be the day when Jesus turns everything around as it should be  -  the day of the LORD is his day:)

 

  6 Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

  7 Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man’s heart shall melt:

  8 And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

  9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

  10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

  11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

 

(All of creation will be affected by the second advent, both the heavens and the earth:)

 

  13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

 

(Jesus comes with fire and his sword, the word of God:)

 

Isaiah 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

  16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

 

II Thessalonians 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

  8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

 

 

Hebrews 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

 

Isaiah 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.
