It is good for those babies being spared from horrible murder in their mother's womb. And it is good for so many mothers being spared the agony of a tortuous conscience after having their babies killed. However, America certainly did not repent. As Steve Quayle often says, "there is no political solution to a spiritual problem". Christian conservatives love political solutions, simply so that we don't really have to repent. If we can just vote in the "right" person, or get the "right" judges appointed, or get the "right" law passed, then all will be fine. Except our hearts have not changed, only the political structure. At the judgment seat of Christ, do we think that we will be rewarded for voting for the lesser of two evils? Evil is evil, whether less or more, and neither will result in rewards. Sadly, the ungodly progressive movement has been correct about one thing - you cannot legislate morality. We cannot make America godly by law. That didn't work in the old testament with Israel, so why do we think it will somehow be different here and now? Us Christians need to repent first, not revive first. If we truly repent, and our brothers and sisters in Christ repent as well, then we can begin to effectually pray for our nation. On our part, we repent, then we pray, but we also all need to obey the great commission, and spread the gospel. Then by faith we need to leave the rest up to Jesus. Not only for people to be saved, but to then grow in grace, be grounded in the word of God, and be guided by his Spirit. The question is, do we really want to go through that? Do we want to see America godly again? Or would we prefer to take the easy route and to only make America "great" again, through politics?
