Hello John and Doves,

 

With everything going on around us, it's a good for the heart to return to the Epistles of John.  John was the disciple "whom Jesus loved."  He also wrote "The Revelation of Jesus Christ" which reveals to us the coming Last Days and God's final plans for mankind.

 

In the First Epistle of John, he writes, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof, but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."  I John 2:15-17

 

John tells us that Jesus knew that He was here to take away our sins...and that He knew that His purpose is to destroy the works of the devil. 

 

The children of God know that they are His.  They know they will pass from death unto life.  They know that if a man does not confess that Jesus Christ came from God in the flesh he has the spirit of antichrist.  That is how we can tell who is of the world and who is with God.  We are told we have overcome those with the spirit of antichrist because "greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world."  1 John 4:4

 

They are of the world - we are of God.  Those who are of God, hear us - if they are not of God, they do not hear us.  They will not believe the Truth.  Nothing we say can change what they think and feel.  They are of this world.  Do not be surprised by the hate of those of the world.  They have no love for their brother.  We are commanded to love our brother.  Those who do not exhibit love towards their brother are of the world.

 

We know that if we confess that Jesus is the Son of God, the Spirit of God dwells in us.  We are strong because of His love for us....John wrote, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear."  I John 4:18  We know that we are of God.  And the whole world is overcome with wickedness.

 

We know that He is the true God.  And in Him is eternal life.  "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.  This is a deceiver and an antichrist."  2 John 1:7 

 

"He that doeth good is of God, but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.  3 John 1:11.

 

Watch yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward."  2: John 1:8

 

Do not be discouraged with all the wickedness in the world...know that nothing happens without God's approval.  He is watching over everything that happens.  And He has his eye on you and loves you...just like He does every little sparrow.

 

We are not defenseless, we are not weak.  We are sons of the Most High God!   We will not bow to wickedness.  We will not back down, we will not kowtow to the spirit of antichrist.

 

When the devil tells us that we cannot withstand the storm, know that with God - we are the storm!
