Something Just Caught My

Undivided Attention

Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the New Year on the Hebrew calendar and it is a high watch day each year for the rapture to take place.  Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) happens 10 days later.  It is the holiest day of the year in Judaism.

The 10 days that separate these two feast days (moedim) are known as the Days of Awe.  It is a very special time for introspection by every individual.  We are supposed to look back over the past year and take account of our actions.  We are also expected to seek reconciliation with those we have wronged and ultimately reconciliation with God.  According to Jewish tradition, the righteous (tzaddikim) are written into the Book of Life, while the wicked (resha’im) are written into the Book of Death.  God decides during this time who will live during the coming year and who will die.  He also decides who will have a pleasant time during the coming year and who will not.

Jewish tradition holds that the Books of Life and Death are opened on Rosh Hashanah and they are closed 10 days later on Yom Kippur.  Additionally, Jewish tradition holds that the Gates of Heaven are opened on Rosh Hashanah and remain open until Yom Kippur when they close.

On September 23, 2017, the Revelation 12 Sign took place in the heavens for all the world to witness.  As I am sure we all recall:

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.  Revelation 12:1-6.  NKJV.

The “child” (whom I am convinced is the Church or Bride) is “snatched away” (harpazo – Strong’s 726) at the moment of birth and flees to heaven with the dragon (Satan) in hot pursuit.  We know that Satan is going to be incredibly enraged if the Church makes it safely to God’s Throne in heaven.  Likewise, Revelation 12:4 tells us that the Dragon is so infuriated that he sweeps up a third of the stars with his tail and flings them to the earth.

Ten days is a very long time for the Gates of Heaven to remain open, especially if it involves getting the child through safely with Satan and a horde of demons in hot pursuit.

Many Biblical scholars will agree that we are in a Jubilee year.  In fact, I just watched an excellent video on Are We Living in the Last Days that made a very strong case for us being in the 70th Jubilee year since Israel entered the Promised Land.  I was profoundly struck by the notion that the 70th Jubilee year from Israel entering the Promised Land could be the Segway, or lead-in, for us entering Daniel’s 70th Week.  Seventy, as we all know, is a number with very special significance in the Bible.

I did some research on the internet and became even more amazed (if that is possible) to find that Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur are celebrated on the same day in a Jubilee year.  This means that during a Jubilee year the Gates of Heaven open and close on the same day.  How long do they remain open??  Perhaps only for an instant.  Perhaps just long enough for the child of Revelation 12 to slip through and avoid being captured and devoured by the pursuing Dragon and his hordes.

Before I close this article, I want to state my reasons for believing that the child in Revelation 12 is the Church and not Jesus because I know some might challenge this supposition.

·      There is no place in the Bible that suggests that Jesus ever fled from Satan or ever will flee from Satan.  Quite the contrary.  Jesus defeated Satan at the cross.  The child cannot be Jesus.

·      Revelation 12:5 says that the child was caught up (raptured) to heaven.  The word for caught up is Strong’s 726 (harpazo) and is the same word Paul used in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 to describe the rapture.

·      Some might argue that the male child who is to rule all nations with a rod of iron in Revelation 12:5 is Jesus, not the Church (Bride).  However, Jesus had this to say in Revelation 2:24-28:

24 “Now to you I say, [a]and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast to what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations.  27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star.  Rev 2:24-28. NKJV.

·      Revelation 12 speaks about the child being born of “a woman”, not “The Virgin.”  Israel is sometimes referred to as a woman in scripture.  In the Revelation 12 Sign, the Church came out of Israel.

The most prominent sign that we are in the very Last Days of the End Times is the convergence of all of the other signs.  The deepening and darkening grip of End Time insanity and delusion has reached a crescendo never before seen by humanity.  Matthew 23:36 tells us that the Last Days of the End Times have an expiration date and we are now there.
