I appreciate
your interest in this controversial topic. No
doubt many will agree with your opinion because we have
been raised with a Bible that was tampered with by the
Roman Catholic church long before it ever got out to the
general public and have been taught misinformation in
some instances. The facts on the extent of the
Roman Catholic churches' meddling with the Bible I would
have to leave with those who have studied prior history
at Bible colleges and can produce the evidence necessary
to satisfy the rest of us.
My response is
that we serve a God who can do absolutely
anything. Do you truly believe that? Since
Jesus, our Creator, was the one who was adamant that
John the Baptist was Elijah "who was for to come"
and will come again in the future during the Great
Tribulation, then a doubter's controversy is with Jesus
- not me. Even Jesus said, "If you can receive it,
this is Elijah ..."
He knew people, like the disciples, would have trouble
with it as they didn't have His infinite knowledge or
infinite capabilities.
I also suspect -
though I'm not adamant about it - that Dr. Owuor from
Kenya, who speaks perfect Hebrew and is performing
incredible miracles, could be the next appearance of
Elijah if
what he claims is true -- that God told him he
will go to Jerusalem to face "a ferocious beast that
comes out of the beast" (i.e., possibly an AI being
created by whoever heads the UN/NWO), will be killed and
lie in the street for three days, then be raised and
raptured into Heaven.
I don't
have all the answers about reincarnation, but I would
place my bet on what Jesus said over anything John the
Baptist said since Jesus is the Creator, He doesn't
lie and He made both John the Baptist and
Elijah. John could only know what his finite
mind knew. Surely Jesus who knows everything --
both finite and infinite -- knew what He was saying
and doing and had no problem making something so
seemingly incredible happen. You've got to love
our God and His unlimited, powerful and mysterious
ways. ;0
Maybe it
is similar to what God said in Malachi 2:15 about
divorce and why He opposed it in that the "residue of the
spirit" of the two who married and
divorced is left in His hands lending
credibility to the concept of "soul ties," another
whole subject. Malachi 2:15: "And did not He make (them) one?
Yet had He the residue of the spirit..." It leaves us with
much to contemplate.
